Houghton Summer celebration PROGRAM

HSCP is a non-profit day camp that has been running for over 40 years through the summer months of July and August for kids aged 3-13.  Our 2019 year was record-breaking with over 170 registered kids and an average of 60 kids/day.

HSCP’s mission is to provide a safe, fun, and affordable day-camp experience for kids in the community. We provide interactive games and activities led by hired counsellors and provide a hot lunch and two snacks daily throughout the summer. Our enthusiastic counsellors are all screened, trained students who are passionate about working with kids and delivering a fun, positive camp experience to all campers.

Drop off time is between 8:30am – 9:30am, and pick up time in any time in between 3:00pm – 3:30pm. The suggested donation is $3.00/child/day. 

We just wrapped up our 2019 year on August 16th with an all-out water balloon fight and colour powder celebration we were able to fund through our Little Caesar’s Pizza Kit fundraiser and through all of the generous donations of items, money, time, prayer, and support we had received this year. We are excited to see what 2020 will bring!

HSCP is always looking for volunteers, we need kitchen help, Bible lesson teachers, drivers, and help for the counsellors to watch the kids. HSCP is a great place to receive your community hours as a high school student.
