Faith in Jesus

The Good News

Jesus bore our sin on the cross. He bore the penalty, turned aside God’s judgment, God’s wrath, from us, and cancelled sin. The brokenness of our lives he restores; the shattered relationships he rebuilds in the context of the church; the new life that we human beings find in Christ is granted out of the sheer grace of God. It is received by faith as we repent of our sins and turn to Jesus. We confess him as Lord, and bow to him joyfully.

The gospel is good news—the good news of what God has done in Jesus Christ.

How do I become a Christian

Understanding that salvation cannot be earned through personal efforts, the gospel invites a response of faith to receive Jesus into one's life (Ephesians 2:8–9, John 1:12). Our response to the gospel is crucial. It calls for faith, repentance, and a commitment to follow Christ. This response is both a personal decision and a journey of transformation.

This is the basic information of the Christian faith but pastoral guidance and a church community are needed to nurture your faith. Take the next step, reach out and contact us. We will be sure to respond as soon as we can.
